In a nutshell

Consider the following: a ryanmen (open) wait will always accept both a number tile X and a number tile X+/-3. The furiten rule forbids any player on winning with a wait if he or she had discarded one or more tiles of said wait. Therefore, for example, a player waiting on a 1pin-4pin ryanmen wait cannot win with a 4pin if he had previously discarded a 1pin</description>
